  1. A circuit, in physics or electrical
  2. engineering, is an arrangement of electrical
  3. components through which a current can flow.
  4. There are two basic circuits, series and
  5. parallel. In a series circuit, the components
  6. are connected end to end so that the current
  7. flows through all components one after the
  8. other. In a parallel circuit, components are
  9. connected side by side so that part of the 
  10. current passes through each component.
